Developmental Mathematics

Students enrolled in college in engineering technology and related programs often do not have the ability to succeed mathematically in a university level calculus course, either because they lack the content background or they are not prepared for the rigor of a university level mathematics course. This course is designed to assist students in overcoming deficiencies in pre-calculus mathematics by reviewing some concepts students learned in high school mathematics courses. This course will explore the mathematics more deeply by introducing students to the underlying logic and reasoning and helping students build the skills needed to be successful in more advanced mathematics courses.
